Jake Adicoff and Sam Wood, Chase Josey, and Jesse Keefe are Back From Beijing
The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation invites the community to join in celebrating four local athletes now back from Beijing and their spring racing seasons. On Thursday, April 14th at the base of Warm Springs at Bald Mountain, Jake Adicoff and Sam Wood, Chase Josey, and Jesse Keefe will be joined by their coaches as we welcome them home and celebrate their accomplishments at the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Chase Josey competed in his second Olympic Games as a member of the U.S. Snowboard Team. He finished 7th in the Men’s Halfpipe. Josey is an alumnus of the SVSEF Snowboard Team.
Three-time Olympian, Jake Adicoff, competed for Team USA in Sochi, Russia 2014 and South Korea's 2018 Paralympics, prior to competing this year in Beijing with his best friend and guide, Sam Wood. Adicoff and Wood, both members of the SVSEF Cross Country Gold Team, brought home gold in the 4 x 2.5 kilometers cross country relay, and two silver medals in the 10 km and 20 km cross country visually impaired events.
Jesse Keefe competed in his first Paralympic Games as the youngest member of the U.S. Para-Alpine Team at 17 years old. He finished 22nd in the Downhill, 15th in the Super G, 15th in the Giant Slalom, and 9th in the Slalom. Keefe grew up in Bellevue, Idaho, and is a member of the SVSEF Alpine FIS Team.
