2021 has 6.6% of Washington County residents unemployed

Washington County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 282 people out of the 10,425 living in Washington County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Washington County has increased compared to the 5.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Washington County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 4,018 people who had a job during that time, 17 were employed in the Armed Forces and 4,001 belonged to the civilian labor force.
